Eliquid Nicotine Strengths Explanation:
Firstly, some base information on the numbers -
1.) Each tobacco cigarette stick has around 1.2 mg of Nicotine.
A standard pack of cigarette therefore contains around 24 mgs of Nicotine (20 sticks).
2.) There are 1000 mgs in 1 ml.
When you see e.g. a 12 mg indication on an eliquid, it generally means that there are 12 mgs per 1 ml of the eliquid. Therefore a 10 ml bottle of eliquid contains 120 mgs of Nicotine.
3.) There are approximately 20 drops of liquid per 1 ml. So using our 12 mg Nicotine eliquid as an example, there would be 0.6 mgs of Nicotine per drop.
*If you put 1.6 ml of eliquid into your electronic cigarette clearomizer (standard CE5+ clearomizer), that means you will take in 19.2 mgs of Nicotine from the time you start vaping until you fill it in again. That almost equals to 1 pack of cigarettes a day - of course, less the component of Tar and about 4000 other kinds of harmful chemicals (some which have been identified as carcinogens - meaning that they cause cancer) which smoking tobacco cigarettes bring.
*A standard 10ml of eliquid usually lasts at least 3-5 days. So assuming you're a heavy smoker and would finish up a 10 ml bottle of eliquid in 3 days, vaping 3.3 ml of eliquid per day would carry a
*Nicotine strength* (NOT contents, or it would be very unhealthy with the 4000+ kinds of chemicals and tar cigarette smoking produces) of about 2 packs of cigarettes a day.
It should be noted that, although it is addictive, no studies have shown nicotine to be a carcinogen.
It is simply the fix that cigarette smokers crave. It is recommended that those who have a demonstrated sensitivity to nicotine, are pregnant or breastfeeding or who have unstable heart conditishould discuss the use of any E-Liquid with a doctor before using.
